SUSTAINABILITY

Making tubes today that last decades

A tube that fails early is waste — of steel, of energy, of the plant it was installed in. Durability is the first environmental decision we make, and our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems govern the rest.

OUR APPROACH

Sustainability as process discipline

Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015 and our occupational health and safety management system to ISO 45001:2018, both assessed independently for the manufacture and supply of cold finish seamless tubes and pipes.

That certification matters because it makes environmental and safety performance a matter of audited procedure rather than intention — the same discipline that governs our dimensional tolerances governs our consumption, our effluent and our shop floor.

KEY PILLARS

Four pillars that guide the plant

01

Resource efficiency

Steel, energy and water are the three inputs that decide our footprint, and each is measured against output rather than treated as overhead.

Cut plans built to minimise off-cut and end loss
Segregated scrap recovery routed back to melt
Rinse water reused across passivation stages before discharge
02

Cleaner chemistry

Pickling and passivation are the most chemically intensive steps in tube finishing, so they receive the most scrutiny.

Elimination of Toxic Precursors:
Replaces traditional hydrofluoric/nitric acid (HF/HNO3) pickling with high-purity hydrogen-atmosphere thermal processing.
Passivation agent reused across batches for long service life
Controlled effluent handling under our ISO 14001 procedures
03

Product life thinking

The largest environmental gain available to a tube manufacturer is a tube that does not need replacing.

Grade selection matched to the actual duty, not the catalogue average
Seamless walls and passivated surfaces to extend service life
Fully recyclable material with no loss of quality at end of life
04

People and safety

Draw benches, annealing furnaces and acid lines carry real risk. ISO 45001 is how we keep that risk managed rather than assumed.

KEY PRACTICES

What this looks like day to day

Material sourcing

Stainless steel carries a high recycled content by nature of its melt route. We procure against grade chemistry with traceable heat codes, so material identity is never lost.

Energy discipline

Annealing and bright annealing are the heaviest energy consumers in the process. Batch planning consolidates furnace cycles instead of running them part-loaded.

Water conservation

Rinsing after acid treatment must be thorough, so rinse water is staged and reused rather than run once to drain.

Waste management

Off-cuts, tube ends and turnings are segregated by grade so they return to the melt as identified stainless scrap rather than mixed waste.

PRODUCT CONTRIBUTION

Our products in our customers' sustainability case

Much of the environmental value of a tube is realised downstream, in the plant it serves. These are the product characteristics our customers cite in their own reporting.

Corrugated tube raises exchanger efficiency

Internal turbulence increases the heat transfer coefficient and overall exchanger efficiency by roughly two to three times against plain tube — the same duty from a smaller, less energy-hungry unit.

Seamless walls reduce leak risk

No weld line means no weld-zone leak path, which matters where the fluid carried is a hazard to the environment as well as to production.

Coil form removes joints

A continuous coil eliminates intermediate connections across a long run, removing both fittings and the leak points that come with them.

Passivation extends service life

Removing free iron and reinforcing the chromium oxide layer defers corrosion without adding material — no dimensional change, no coating to renew.

High purity tubing protects yield

In semiconductor and bioprocess plants, contamination means scrapped batches. A clean, electropolished bore prevents waste at a scale far larger than the tube itself.

COMMUNITY

Rooted in the Viramgam industrial corridor

Our works in Viramgam sits in a manufacturing corridor that is growing quickly, and most of our workforce comes from the surrounding area. Investment in skills, safe working conditions and stable employment is the most direct contribution we can make locally.

As we grow, we remain committed to investing in the technology, skills and infrastructure that drive our industry forward — the same commitment that underpins our quality position.
